Fernanda Alves Martins attended and presented at The XV National Congress of AEET: "The value of Nature for a Global Society", event that took place in October 2021, in Plasencia, Cáceres, Spain
The AEET congress covered various topics on ecology including biodiversity, evolutionary ecology, global change, computational ecology, big data, education, agroecology and socio-ecological systems, providing a full opportunity for constructive discussions about different aspects of ecological research for TROPIBIO. Fernanda presented an oral talk, two posters presentations, and also attended workshops on "How to get competitive projects and not die trying" and "Online dissemination of ecology, scientific communication beyond the impact factor" where she got valuable advice on how to structure scientific projects to compete for high impact programs, such as the Horizon Europe projects. She also got advice on how to make scientific papers accessible to a wide audience through dissemination on social networks.
