Tropibio Researcher Filipa Palmeirim taught (online) at the discipline ‘Use and conservation of biodiversity across the Pantanal, Amazon and Cerrado biomes’ at the Post-Graduation Program in Environmental Sciences (PPGCA) of the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT), Brazil on October 4th (2021).
This discipline, led by the Professor Manoel Santos-Filho, is part of the Post-Graduation Program in Environmental Sciences (PPGCA) of the State University of Mato Gross (UNEMAT).
In this class (in Portuguese), Filipa has provided an overview of the importance of considering multiple spatial scales to understand and predict patterns of biodiversity persistence in human-modified landscape. That was further illustrated based on study cases on vertebrates from landscapes in the Mato Grosso state. Also, at the end of her class, Filipa had the opportunity to present the TROPIBIO project to the students.
