Tropibio Collaborator Paul Jepson visited CIBIO and met with the Tropibio team to discuss research and collaborations.
The TROPIBIO collaborator Dr Paul Jepson (Nature Recovery Lead at Ecosulis Lda) visited CIBIO and met with the TROPIBIO team to discuss research and collaborations between the 16th to 22nd of November, 2021.
Dr Jepson is one of the great original thinkers in conservation, and has worked across the academic, NGO (Birdlife) and private sectors. He is currently head of research and development at Ecosulis, one of the UK's top environmental consultancies. He has also played a big role in the development of rewilding in Europe. The aim with his visit to CIBIO and the TROPIBIO team was to work on a new collaborative protocol for assessing protected area assets and to discuss possibilities for start-ups. Paul also gave a seminar and discussed various additional ideas and projects with the TROPIBIO team. Further meetings are being planned during 2022, both regarding the collaborative protocols/project collaborations as well as the ideas regarding the establishment of a start-up/subsidiary.
