Raquel Vasconcelos attended a meeting in Praia, Cabo Verde

The TROPIBIO researcher Raquel Vasconcelos attended in May the ‘Flora and Natural Resources of the Cabo Verde Islands Symposium’, in Praia, Santiago Island, Cabo Verde.
Raquel presented an oral and a poster communication about her recent work developed in the archipelago. The oral communication, entitled ‘DNA metabarcoding to infer the ecological/ economic impact of invaders on an island ecosystem’ presented the recent paper published in 2022, result of a project of the TwinLab Cabo Verde financed by the Cabo Verdean government. The poster presentation was entitled Conservation genetics for guiding reserve management in Cabo Verde: case-study with emblematic giant wall gecko.
