Secondment in Federal University of Alagoas

Richard Ladle, and Ana Cláudia Malhado visited Federal University of Alagoas to strengthen collaborations with students, researchers and coordinators of the Postgraduate Programme in Biodiversity and Conservation of the Tropics (PPG-DIBICT) at the Institute of Biological and Health Sciences (ICBS) in December 2022.
At UFAL, they met with the coordinator of PPG-DIBICT to discuss their participation in the Postgraduate Programme, discuss student´s supervision and future collaborations. They also met with the Institute Director to talk about collaborations and exchanges. Ana and Richard also met with University Professors to talk about research and collaborations for the Coral Coast Long Term Ecological Research Site, and about science communication for the Decade of the Ocean initiatives.
During their time in Maceió, they also had various meetings with Jr researchers and undergraduate students, for paper discussions and future planning, and also met with Dr Chiara Bragagnolo to discuss the products of the project: "Action for sustainable landscape management in Sao Tomé e Principe” (EuropeAid/168944/DD/ACT/ST) Sub-project: Assessing the Cultural Value of Protected areas in São Tomé and Principe.
Richard gave a public seminar and participated of various meetings to explore future collaborative opportunities with the students and staff at UFAL.
