Tropibio expedition to Guinea Bissau 2022

Meeting at the Universidade Lusofona da Guine-Bissau.
The expedition small mammals team: Djunko, Raquel and Patrícia.
TROPIBIO team members (Researcher Ana Filipa Palmeirim, field technician Patrícia Guedes), and three TROPIBIO early researchers (BIODIV Ph.D. Cristian Pizzigalli, MSc students Raquel Oliveira and Francisco dos Reis Silva) participated in a field expedition to Guinea-Bissau from October to December 2022.
The trip had several objectives, including strengthening the relationship with the Universidade Lusofona da Guine-Bissau and KAFO, a local NGO. The team met with professors at the university to discuss the implementation of a TwinLab in Guinea-Bissau, and explored the potential for new projects with KAFO. The team also provided support to MSc students working on projects related to the research being carried out by Ana Filipa Palmeirim in agricultural landscapes within and around Djalicunda, Guinea-Bissau.
