TROPIBIO Field Course planning meeting with the Tropical Biology Association

 The Tropical Biology Association (TBA) is one of the most important partners on the TROPIBIO project and has vast experience of providing state of the art conservation field courses in tropical Africa.

On the 24 of October, Rosie Trevelyan (Director of the TBA and member of the ERA Chair Boar) and Mariana Carvalho (Scientist, TBA) met with ERA Chair Richard Ladle and TROPIBIO researcher Filipa Palmeirim to discuss the joint delivery of a TROPIBIO/TBA field course in Guinea Bissau in 2023. It was agreed that the course would be jointly developed and delivered by Filipa and Mariana in association with TROPIBIO partners in Guinea Bissau. Further meetings were also planned including a visit of Rosie and Mariana to CIBIO in early 2023 to begin the process of course design.
