Filipa Palmeirim organised a course on Ecological Networks on the BIODIV Programme

From February 27th to March 3rd, the TROPIBIO/CIBIO organized its first Advanced course on Ecological Networks, organized by Ana Filipa Palmeirim.

The aim of the course was to equip students with the tools and knowledge to apply the science of Network Ecology to their research. The curriculum combined theoretical and practical classes with personalized and group projects, providing a comprehensive learning experience. Esteemed experts in the field, including Carine Emer from the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden/Juruá Institute, Sérgio Timóteo from the Centre for Functional Ecology - University of Coimbra, and Luís P. da Silva, based at BIOPOLIS/CIBIO-InBIO, led the course. The topic was deemed significant, with a total of 18 participants, including PhD students from the BIODIV Programme and other researchers from Portugal, Sweden, Germany, and the Netherlands, attending the course.
